Born and raised in New York to Jamaican parents, singer-songwriter, Tara Harrison started recording demos for Salt-N-Pepa at 12 years old and entered New York City’s fiercely competitive open mic circuit at the age of 13. That early training proved pivotal as Tara has taken her gift of song global, performing her material as the opening act for famed artists Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and Cee Lo. Since 2012, the Long Island native has toured the world as a background vocalist with hip-hop legend, Ms. Lauryn Hill, transitioning in 2019 to a dual role as a support act on The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour. A gift for combining melody, harmony and lyrics has seen Tara top-line for a slew of top notch producers such as Deputy, J. Cole, Freddy Wexler, Don Corleon, and Duvall. In December 2018, she released "PSA", a collaborative single with producer Rory Stone Love (Jah-9, Samory-I). Tara's forthcoming project, New Car, will officially release on all platforms in 2021.
